- Borhan Uddin Bhuiyan is a Lecturer & Researcher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Sonargaon University, Dhaka, with a research focus on intelligent and energy-efficient hardware systems. He received his B.Sc. in EEE from Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), where his academic training shaped his interest in silicon-level design and hardware–algorithm co-optimization
His research lies at the intersection of Analog & Mixed-Signal IC Design, ASIC/FPGA-Based Architectures, and Physical Design & Full-Custom Layout, with a strong emphasis on variability-aware, parasitic-conscious, and performance-driven implementation. He is particularly motivated by AI/ML-Driven Hardware Design and Embedded & Cyber-Physical Systems , aiming to translate data-driven intelligence into scalable, real-time edge platforms. His work includes FPGA-based CNN accelerators and embedded AI deployments under constrained resources.
In addition to his research activities, he is deeply committed to teaching, fulfilling academic responsibilities, and supervising students. At Sonargaon University, he teaches courses such as VLSI Design, Microprocessor & Embedded Systems, Electronics, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP). He is also actively involved in supervising and guiding thesis students, supporting them as they bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. Through research, teaching, and leadership, he seeks to contribute to next-generation microsystems that combine algorithm–architecture co-design with practical, silicon-realistic implementation —an approach he intends to further advance at the PhD level.
