- Biography
- Md. Wahid Tousif Rahman is a Lecturer (Adjunct) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Sonargaon University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur.
Prior to joining Sonargaon University, he served as a Mathematics and Physics teacher at The Aga Khan School, Dhaka, where he also supervised the school's IT Club and introduced students to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence through extracurricular activities. He has also worked as an AI data specialist with Sigma AI, contributing to machine learning data annotation and quality improvement projects.
His undergraduate research focused on medical image processing, resulting in the publication of a research paper on ultrasound strain image sequence selection. His current research interests include VLSI Physical Design, Digital IC Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Hardware Acceleration for AI, and Machine Learning applications in Electronic Systems. He has completed professional training in Digital VLSI Physical Design, gaining practical experience with industry-standard EDA tools and ASIC design flow.
As an educator, he is committed to bridging theoretical concepts with practical engineering applications, encouraging students to develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills while preparing them for careers in academia and the semiconductor industry.
